RECREATIONAL CLASSES

Power Athletics recreational cheer program is designed to teach the fundamentals of all star cheerleading. The program is low cost, low commitment, and meant for athletes to gain an understanding of basic elements of cheerleading.

Classes starting at $15/ class.

INTRO TO CHEER

Intro to Cheer is the perfect class for those brand new to cheer or with a season of cheer under their belt! This class will work all the foundational skills that build an all star cheerleading routine. Athletes can expect to work on motions, jumps, tumbling and stunting while having fun!

Pom Poms

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL SIDELINE

This class is designed for athletes interested in progressing their sideline abilities whether they are a current sideline cheerleader or have an interest in it. This class will focus on learning cheers, sideline motions, spiriting, gameday energy and performance needed for the sideline! This class is coached by current college cheerleaders.

NOVICE JUMPS & FLEX

Novice Jumps, Motion & Flexibility is for athletes who are learning the foundations of jump technique and motion technique. They will also work to increase their flexibility. This is a great way to work on many cheer elements all in one!

PRE-K CHEER

Pre-K Cheer is the class for little friends ages 3-5 to learn about cheer while building listening skills, taking turns, and motor skills! This class will work all the foundational skills that build an all star cheerleading routine. Athletes can expect to work on motions, jumps, tumbling and stunting while having fun!

PRE-K TUMBLING

This recreational tumbling class is for boys and girls ages 3 through 5 years old to learn the elements of tumbling! Each week athletes will work on gross and fine motor skills, and mastering basic body awareness. This class is great for those who are brand new to cheer, tumbling, or organized sports!

NOVICE STUNT

Novice stunt is for beginner athletes looking to gain confidence in their stunting skills and work on progressions. Athletes will work on ground level, knee level and waist level stunts.

NOVICE JUMPS/MOTION/FLEX

Novice Jumps, Motion & Flexibility is for athletes who are learning the foundations of jump technique and motion technique. They will also work to increase their flexibility. This is a great way to work on many cheer elements all in one! 

DANCER ACRO

Dancer Acro is great for both dancer's and non-dancers who want to learn creative elements and variations to tumbling skills and lifts that may be used in dance routines.

PREP JUMPS/MOTION/FLEX

Prep Jumps, Motion & Flexibility is for athletes who have solid basics of jump technique and motion technique. They will also work to increase their flexibility, height and stamina. This is a great way to work on many cheer elements all in one! 

ELITE FLEX & JUMPS

Elite Flexibility & Jumps is for athletes who have foundational jump technique. We will work to increase flexibility by spending the first half of class using various stretching methods. We will also do drills to help strengthen and condition our jumps. Coach permission must be given to be in this class.

ELITE MOTIONS & DANCE

Elite Motion & Dance is for athletes who have a strong understanding of foundational motions and dance moves. We will work on strengthening motion work and putting combinations of movement together. During class athletes will also learn a new dance every week. The dances will be fast paced and include a wide variety of styles we use in the cheer world. Coach permission must be given to be in this class.

ELITE BASE CONDITIONING

Elite Base Conditioning is for athletes who want to grow in their basing or back spotting techniques. This class will go over proper grips, basing/backing techniques, how to use muscle groups correctly when stunting and strengthening of those muscles to stunt correctly and safely.

ELITE CONDITIONING

Elite Conditioning is for dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, and really any type of athlete. This class combines dynamic exercises, body weight/light weight training, and sport-specific movements to enhance flexibility, agility, balance, and endurance. Athletes are asked to bring tennis shoes to this class.
